Floating on what felt like a wooden bathtub – also known as a Sampan – I was cruising Malaysia’s largest river for some night time croc photography. The boat was shaky, and to make things even more interesting, the boatman killed the engine. As he used his tiny torch to scout for crocs, he told me that some of these creatures are as big as our boat. It felt like a one-night stand I never want to repeat! Heart-pounding, terrifying, yet crazily exciting.
